The Magic Morning Show Players
Meet the people who help make "The MAGIC Morning Show with Jack Logar" North Central West Virginia’s #1 rated morning show...
John Maxwell – Jack refers to him by many names: Life partner. Long time male companion. Special Boy. These names all have one thing in common. They make Maxwell cringe. So, who is John Maxwell? He’s Jack's partner in shenanigans. A native of Harrison County, he was once voted the "Handsomest Boy in Shinnston, West Virginia."

The Buttinskis! - Here's a photo of "Buttinski's" David and Veronica as they make public spectacles of themselves. David and Veronica join the show each Tuesday morning to intervene in the love lives of troubled listeners. They are not licensed therapists. They are simply "amateur relationship enthusiasts" with over 70 years of combined marital experience between them. If you'd like to have these two pick through your love life and offer up advice, submit your situation to Jack at jacklogar@wvradio.com and then listen Tuesday morning to see if your story is being shared with and discussed by people all over north central West Virginia.

Palmer Stephens is a long time radio pro and local thespian. A thoughtful man with an inquisitive mind, he brings his "Moment of Clarity" to the MAGIC Morning Show.

Josh Fosbrink is a "meteorologist" in the WBOY Storm Tracker 12 Weather Center. He makes a cameo appearance weekday mornings at 8:06 to explain complex weather patterns and brag about his specially built "corner toilet" that he refuses to photograph and submit to this website. Hey Josh, make with the photo or shut the pie hole!

Jessica Logar – She's a school teacher, a basketball coach and the only bright spot in Jack's otherwise unbearable life. When she isn't working, coaching or facilitating Jack's dream to live his life like an 8 year old boy, she joins him on the radio. You can catch her "Pointless Riddle of the Week" Thursday mornings around 7:10. Answer the riddle and then spend the rest of the day bragging to anyone who will listen about how s-m-r-t you are.

Mike and Miranda Cummings – He Said / She Said Movie Reviews – Cross gender / cross generational movie reviews featuring 39 year old Mike Cummings from Mannington and his 16 year old daughter who attends North Marion High School. Each Monday morning, Mike and Miranda review the latest movies and talk about how awkward it is for a father and daughter to sit through movies featuring gratuitous nudity and a lot of heavy cursing.

Celeste Clutter – If you’ve ever left your house, you know that the state of fashion in North Central West Virginia is reaching crisis levels. Believe it or not, sweat pants and a "who farted" T-shirt are not proper restaurant attire. Fortunately, MAGIC 106.5 has a "resident fashionista" to offer help to the fashion challenged. Each week, Celeste dispenses this advice in a quick, awkward conversation with Jack in a piece called "The Fashion Police." Here’s a photo of Celeste wearing an outfit of some sort that’s probably fashionable.

J.R. - Everyone knows that the "nerve center" of any town is the local barber shop. J.R.'s Chop Shop in Nutter Fort is the official barber shop of the MAGIC Morning Show with Jack Logar. J.R. joins Jack to share poll results and, if we're lucky, blurt out a "red faced rant" in a style that's all his own. Where do you go when you want to take the pulse of the community? It's not just hair that flows, it's also the free exchange of ideas among people with too much time on their hands. Disputes abound. Debates are engaged. Opinions are formed. And what do you do with this information? Broadcast it on the radio!

The "Hillbilly Savant" of Braxton County - Brad Shingler is a semi-regular contributor to the MAGIC Morning Show and, for reasons no one can understand, is considered by many to be the pride of Braxton county. According to legend, on a quiet night you can hear children singing songs about him in the mountains near Little Birch. Photo: Jack Logar and Brad Shingler enjoy a "Taster's Choice Moment" at Burnsville Lake. Not pictured: Brad's dignity - - Jack's pigmentation

Mark Mayfield – For years, listeners have pestered Jack to see a photo of the man who "takes the Magic Morning Show from Average to Fabulous." Mark has been a regular contributor to the MAGIC Morning Show since it’s inception in 2003. He has hosted his own segments and even spent a summer filing reports from his travels across the country in a piece known as "Mayfield’s America." Now, he just pops up when you least expect him and prattles on for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, Mark is still refusing to submit a photo for the website because he's afraid someone will steal his head and photo shop it on to something inappropriate. Negotiations are continuing and we hope to have a photo of Mark in the coming weeks...
