WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES EVENT

Women's Aid in Crisis is hosting Walk a Mile in Her Shoes on April 26. This event will be held at Jawbone Park in Upshur County from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Men are being asked to literally walk one mile in high-heeled shoes to create awareness about sexual violence against women.  For more information or to register for this event, contact Women's Aid in Crisis at (304) 473-0070.  Registration deadline is April 18th.

SALEM CENTER'S ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

It's the Salem Center's Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday April 19th at 11am.  Different age groups are offered for the kids, as well as Easter egg coloring.  The event is free to the public.  Bring a bag or a basket to collect your eggs.  for more information, contact the Salem Center at 304-782-3000.

ANNUAL PICKENS RAMP SUPPER

It's the annual Pickens ramp supper at the American Legion Hall in Pickens, Saturday, April 19th  from 2-7 pm.  The event is sponsored by the America Legion Post 122.  For more information, call 304-924-5813.

SEMI-ANNUAL BOOK SALE

Literacy volunteers of Upshur county is having its semi-annual book sale on Friday, April 25th from 8 am until 5 pm, and Saturday, April 26th from 8 am until 12 noon at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Social Hall.  For more information, contact the LIteracy Center at 304-472-2343.

PURPLE RAIN FAIR

It's the Purple Rain Fair at the Lewis County Park in Weston, April 26th from 10 am until 5 pm, sponsored by "Almost A Hit" Relay for Life Team. Activities and events for all ages.  For more information, call 304-517-0699.

RAMP DINNER

It's the 3rd Annual Ramp Dinner at Vae's Diner in Gassaway, April 27th from 8 am until 2 pm.  It's a full menu with the proceeds benefitting the American Heart Association and Davis Elementary School.  For more information, call 304-364-2326.

HEAVEN'S GATES AND HELL'S FLAMES

The ministry "Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames" will begin Sunday, April 27th through Tuesday, April 29th at the Victory Assembly of God in Weston.  The service will begin each night at 7 pm, and the event is free.  For more information, call 304-269-5674.

Horshoe Leadership Consulers

ROCK N' RUN

The Uphsur Arts Alliance presents The Rock N' Run May 31st at Jawbone Park at 9:30 am.  Registration opens at 7 am, early bird registration is $15 until May 1st.  Pre registration is $20 until May 25th.  Race day registration is also $25.  For more information, call Marie at 304-997-5110.

SPAGHETTI DINNER BENEFIT FOR JUSTIN JENKINS

There will be a spaghetti dinner benefit for Justin Jenkins May 3rd from 11 am until 6 pm at the old Summit Park Grade School cafeteria.  The dinner will be $10 a plate, eat-in or carry-out.  Justin is a 16-year-old young man with sizable hospital bills incurred after multiple surgeries.  His family are unable to provide the necessary equipment he will need.  If you have any questions, contact Steve Thompson after 5 pm at (304) 669-2902 or steve@summitparkwv.com. 

ANNUAL SPRING CONCERT

Lewis County Senior Center Alaska trip

ALZHEIMER'S WORKSHOP FOR CAREGIVERS

CHILI COOK-OFF
